Amit Gupta

Amit is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a Chartered Financial Analyst(CFA) and Law graduate.
He has been working in the area of direct taxation handling various facets including, inter-alia, transaction advisory, investment structuring, estate planning and has been involved in providing tax advisory and compliance services to diverse sector clientele.
He has been involved in advising various coveted clients to facilitate transactions and structuring of inbound and outbound foreign investment from domestic and international tax perspective.
He has been involved in several transactional tax advisory, restructuring and business modelling assignments and handled corporate and individual residency shift advisory assignments based on the prevailing international tax and regulatory framework.
Before joining the firm, Amit was part of the Tax and Regulatory services at a large international accounting firm wherein he was part of the core group for the Private Client service offering and the National Tax Office. In his earlier stints, he has worked with law firms in their Direct tax practice.
He is a member of the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal Bar Association and International Fiscal Association and regularly contributed articles/ write-ups for newspapers/ magazines.
