Rajan Sachdev

Rajan Sachdev has 25 years of Advisory experience in serving multinational corporations in areas of cross-border structuring, international tax, corporate tax, mergers & hive-offs, and transfer pricing. During the course of his enriching professional journey, Rajan has successfully led sizeable teams on prominent global assignments across contiguous service lines and multiple jurisdictions.

Rajan spent formative years of his career with Arthur Andersen, where he developed precious skills of working in a global eco-system. He subsequently honed his service capabilities over an eight-year stint at the tax & regulatory practice of PriceWaterhouseCoopers, before transitioning to the industry as Honeywell’s Asia-Pacific Group Tax Director. At Honeywell, Rajan got nominated to the elite club of ‘India Executive Council’, where he participated in key strategic and investment decisions for the Aerospace, Automation Controls, and Transportation businesses.  He was a core member of hand-picked global executive-team responsible for designing and implementing a tax-efficient supply chain reorganization for one of Honeywell’s key international businesses.

Rajan was inducted as a Partner in 2007 at KPMG, New Delhi. He was a key member of Firm’s National Tax practice, shouldering the responsibility of building the Firm’s international tax & transfer pricing practice in North India, and gradually maturing into the role of a Senior Client Relationship Partner on some of the Firm’s marquee National accounts.  He was an integral member of the Firm’s National Dispute resolution practice, dealing with complex tax controversies and assisting clients in successfully navigating their cases across multiple litigation forums.

Rajan believes that his forte lies in working closely with clients in understanding their business objectives and harnessing deep domain knowledge in bringing well-rounded elegant tax solutions to the table. He subscribes to the mantra that astute foresight often produces satisfactory hindsight.
