Rajib Debnath

With over 25 years of expertise in Sustainability/ESG, Developmental/Social Responsibility and allied services, some engagements that had been led and delivered by him in his professional career, in the areas of his expertise were of the first of its kind in India or globally, some of which have been adopted at a national/global level for larger societal and environmental benefit.

With professional qualifications in Civil Engineering and post-graduation in Environmental Management from institutes of repute. He has over 25 years of experience, of which over 15 years of his service has been with Advisory/audit majors Deloitte, Ernst & Young, Grant Thornton and DNV in national, regional and global leadership roles.

Rajib has drafted various white papers, some of which have eventually shaped up in national policies. His views and thoughts on his areas of expertise are often published by prominent and leading print media in India and abroad. He is often invited by various industry, government, UN and professional organizations in India and abroad for thought leadership/policy development events. Rajib is a member of various national and international forums, inclusive of UN organizations. For some national panels that have been formed by the nodal national standards development body of India, The Bureau of Indian Standards, Rajib, in his role as a convener/core drafting team has been entrusted with the responsibility of developing the Indian Non-Financial Assurance Standards (IS 26002) for audit of non-financial matters; and the Indian CSR Standard (IS 26001).
